Tonya Harding – Then

Tonya Harding showed remarkable potential in figure skating during her early years. Growing up in an unstable home, ice skating became Harding’s refuge. In 1991, Harding showed her skating abilities when she won gold on the U.S. Championships by being the first American female ice skater to land the triple axel jump.

Although grace was not her strongest suit, she delivers powerful performances every time. Her amazing talent, show-stopping jumps, and her perseverance to prove people wrong made her mark in her sport.

She garnered the respect of many an ice-skating fan around the world, and just as well! Back in her heydays, she truly was a talented athlete and one of the most well-known ice-skating figures in the industry.
