Leonard Whiting – 1950
Leonard Whiting, a prolific English singer, and actor has essayed many popular characters on screens. But his breakthrough role has been the role of Romeo in the film version of the popular Shakespearean play Romeo and Juliet, 1968. It also fetched him the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Year. He played Romeo opposite Olivia Hussey (Juliet)
He teamed up with his first film’s co-star Olivia for the film Social Suicide, the 2015 film. The British psychological thriller was based on the characters Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare.
That was his last outing on the screen. He is now enjoying a peaceful retirement life in London. Although he has bid adieu to the film world, his net worth is still working, and it stands at $9 million. Impressive, we say, and we hope he continues to lead a healthy life in the years to come.
