Maurice Benard and Paula Smith – Together Since 1990

Another couple that is still together is actor Maurice Bernard and Paula Smith. Maurice, an American actor, is popular for his role in the ABC Soap General Hospital as Sonny Corinthos. Maurice is married to Paula Smith, an executive producer, and actress. The pair is now celebrating their 29 years of marriage together which is still going strong.

Maurice and Paula got married in 1990. They have 4 children: 3 daughters and a son. They adopted the daughter of his wife’s sister and have long since treated her as their own. At the age of 22, Maurice was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. This makes him and his wife active supporters for the treatment of this disorder together with the Mental Health America. Many of the struggles he faced with this disorder were depicted in his character, Sonny, and he was praised for its realistic portrayal.
