Although Charlotte often had doubts about his honesty, she knew that nothing mattered but her love for her and his love for her. She never could leave him and she was scared to even find out about the real truth.

She knew that everyone had some fault or the other. Their love was like the death do them apart type of love and Charlotte could not bear to part with him. She knew she had to be perfect for him, even if he was not perfect and reveal his true self to him. There were various ups and downs in their lives and Charlotte has only gone stronger because of it.
