Charles Lawson – Coronation Street – Age 61

Since he made his debut in 1989, Charles did wonders to the series, Coronation Street, while starring in his role as Jim McDonald. A prolific character indeed, but sadly the spark dulled a bit after 2000. Despite that, he appeared in several shows. At 61, Charles is particular about nutrition facts and that’s something to really admire!

At the time of playing his character in Corrie, he has starred in reputed sitcoms on Comedy Central, like Brotherhood, and even documentaries as Titanic: Birth of a Legend. He juggled with acting on stage too and played in roles like Long Shadows, which received worldwide acclaim.

Unfortunately, his health went downhill after suffering a stroke at the time of the play, while he was in Edinburgh. Thankfully, he recovered shortly, and in 2018, he made a return to Coronation Street.
