Thelma Barlow – Coronation Street – Age 91

Thelma Barlow has been staying away from the arclights for many years for now. She is an esteemed English television actress and writer, who has impressed one and all with her role as Mavis Wilton in the long-running ITV soap opera Coronation Street, also as Dolly Bellfield in the sitcom Dinnerladies.

Thelma is not planning to return to screen anytime soon and she has no plans of getting back to acting.

In a recent interview,  Barlow revealed that she has been requested to reprise her character several times. She has continued to refuse to take up the offers saying that she does not know how to play the role of Mavis anymore. She last worked in 2016 in the role of Florence Foster Jenkins and is currently enjoying her retirement. Well, we don’t know whether she is going to grace our screens soon, we sure hope she returns to the screen though.
